With this period of state of emergency over, and bearing in mind that we are having a positive evolution in terms of the control of this pandemic, ACIF gradually defends the entry into operation of the various sectors of economic activity, in accordance with the guidelines of the World Organization Health and the General Directorate of Health, so as not to jeopardize public health.
The tourism sector will certainly take more time to recover its momentum, since, in addition to its dependence on airline companies and tour operators, there is also the lack of confidence of an entire world population that has seen itself from one day to the next, faced with mandatory confinement. Given this scenario, we understand that, in this first phase, there must be a clear bet on the national market, through a communication campaign that shows the exemplary way in which we managed to control this pandemic crisis, but also the set of measures that are being taken in the safeguarding travelers’ safety while traveling and staying in our Region.
ACIF understands that the quarantine obligation, in this new phase, is not compatible with any strategy to recover the tourism sector, and therefore defends the adoption of measures to control the health status of passengers, in the country of origin and destination, of so that any passenger before traveling is required to carry out a test and present it at the time of check in, as well as to carry out a new test on arrival, reinforcing the confidence of passengers when traveling by plane.
If we add to this fact the evidence of a great capacity for monitoring and control, which allows to quickly identify, isolate and track contacts of possible suspected cases of Covid-19, it transmits the perception of a “safe” and controlled territory, a factor that can distinguish us from other regions and bring competitive advantages.
